Technology a boon in Covid-19
Technology
a boon in Covid-19
As you know
that nowadays technology is very important in our life. Today, through
technology, we can talk or video call with our relatives and friends even
sitting far away.
I remember the
Gwalior era of 1998 when we had to pay for every minute for typing an email in Cyber
Cafe. The cost of internet used to be around 100 rupees per hour, gradually
these expenses came down and we all went closer to latest technology. With the
passage of time, the landline phone was replaced by mobile, then Smartphones
came a few years later and they almost killed the old mobile phones, digital
cameras, calculators and watches.
Today's
generation knows Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and WhatsApp very well. Today
Facebook and LinkedIn are very useful for us, through which we can keep in
touch with our loved ones. Our mobile is completely a computer in a way that it
goes anywhere with us.
Two years ago, when
I was addressing students and parents at an education fair organised by SAGE University
Indore in Gwalior. A father asked me a question that, my son uses mobile a lot
and I am very upset and scared with it, he told me that you tell me the
solution to my problem, I told him that you can permit him to use and let him to
decide where to stop. Before April 2020, no one had any idea that all the
students would have to take online education, earlier the mobile or laptop
which was called the means of passing the student's time, would have such a
meaningful use.
Technology is
doing its job very well in today's COVID-19 environment, we are all witness to
it since last 1 year. Every college, every school is using online platform in
today's time. All types of online platforms are also available as mobile apps.
Today our SAGE University students are doing entire studies online and all our
students are using laptop or mobile.
In the next
article, I will give detailed information about online platforms to all of you
and will tell you all how to use them.
